History
The Asylum Islands were first inhabited thousands of years ago by many different cultures of people; they came after hearing rumors that a series of islands each had their own unique climate and that most of them were abundant in natural resources. Upon arrival, most couldn't believe that islands soo close in proximity could have such drastic weather patterns and climates. Colonies formed and decades later settlers from each island would trade goods and resources with each other. As they grew over the years, their colonies increased in size and a committee was formed to oversee how each island would progress, established leaders, and determined what goods were traded to which island.
They also planned a celebration day where once a year people from every Island would come to the middle island, Asylum, and parades would be held glorifying each Island and all their achievements. The main event on that day, the one everyone looked forward to, was the Great Asylum Battle. Asylum had a massive pit where leaders, soldiers, and Alphas from every island would fight to the death until only one man remained standing. This individual was crowned Asylum Island Champion where he was allowed to move his family into the massive mansion on Asylum where he lived like a King until the following year when the annual Great Asylum Battle was held and he had to defended his crown.
Things were peaceful for hundreds of years until the late 1800s when the islands were disrupted by outside rebel groups wanting to seize political control from the committee and the main Island itself, Asylum. Asylum was rich in gold with large boulder-sized chunks hidden deep underneath the foundation of the city. The rebel groups seized control of Anarchy Island and another uninhabited island where they established ground and started closing in on the gold; while natives from every island came to help Asylum build massive walls around its entire perimeter, protecting its capital Island from the constant attacks by the ruthless groups attempting to gain complete control.
Over the course of fifty years the rebel groups built camps and small cities on the islands they seized control of as the natives battled and fought back, trying to regain Anarchy and the uninhabited Island from the murderous groups; and although the death toll was staggering it was the natives that eventually pushed the evil forces back onto their ships to retreat. The ones that didn't make it out were held on what is now called, The Wastelands, where they would live out their lives behind rusting steel bars they had built themselves on the Island. The scattered rebel warriors who weren't caught by natives lived deep in the jungle on Anarchy Island and formed their own small communities of savages that survive to this day, preying on the small towns at night.
As the world evolved, so did the Asylum Islands. The technology was brought to the islands and that opened up a line of communication to the rest of the world for everyone to see the Great Asylum Battle. People from all over the globe flocked to the islands in anticipation of participating in the Battle; hoping they had the skill to defeat the natives in their own game. But no outsider ever won.
That was until a trio of outsiders showed up. A trio soo strong, a unit soo cohesive that they obliterated every man in the Battle. The committee and fans looked on in stunned silence at the three men who refused to battle each other. They claimed they worked as a team and their loyalty ran soo deep they would never fight each other to establish one true champion. The committee refused to allow the three men to claim victory as a unit and the Great Asylum Battle was declared a draw with no winner. The fans were furious and demanded the battle be finished but the trio still refused.
The following year, the trio of men returned, and again, the three men were left standing victorious for a second year in a row, followed by a third year which changed the Asylum Islands forever. Upset and angered by three years of no Champion, the committee ordered the three men to leave the Asylum Islands forever otherwise they would be slaughtered where they stood.
The men refused to leave and plenty of blood was spilled that day; it ran through the gold streets of Asylum sending shock-waves across the islands. The three men: Crazy J, Erik Black and Jaymz had successfully taken over the committee's forces and ruled as Kings. They changed very little of the islands culture but they made one change, that not only did the natives love, but people worldwide loved as well. They opened the AIW and competitors came from all over the world to live on the Islands and compete in the same arena that holds the Great Asylum Battle, fighting for their chance to live on Asylum Island and proclaim themselves as the best in the world.
